Sun 11th June | Fife v Astley & Tyldesley | Fife | |
Astley & Tyldesley traveled to Dunfermline on Sunday, to take on Fife, in a North & Scotland League Division 1 match. A&T were up against it, with just two recognised 1st team riders, Steve Harris and Terry Norman, making the trip. However, the replacement riders put in a terrific showing, to keep A&T in contention throughout the match, with points shared in twelve of the eighteen races. 12 years old Frank White rode superbly, scoring 18 points, which included a race win, against much older opposition. Grand Veteran Lee Phillips stepped in, and he put in an excellent score, from his five rides. Fife took the win, 99-81, to maintain their unbeaten run this year, with Kayden Davidson most impressive, scoring a 24 points maximum.
