A&T competed in Round 3 of the Northern Fours & Junior League at Bury today. The Fours League match was mainly ridden during a heavy downpour which rendered the track heavy in some places and slippery in others. A&T got off to a dreadful start in the Fours match, scoring just 5 points from the opening four races. The team rallied after that with an impressive run, in which John and Frank White won two races each, before finishing with two last places. In a very close fought match, Hull took a one point win over Sheffield. Stockport were bolstered by the inclusion of three Australian guest riders and finished level on points on the track with Sheffield, before the guests' points were deducted. Bury pipped A&T by one point for third place, with Heckmondwike fifth. Hull took the win in the Junior League match, finishing narrowly ahead of A&T, with Sheffield third and Heckmondwike fourth. For A&T, James Jackson top scored in the u-10 section, whilst Oscar Belt dropped only one point in the u-16 category, with Riley Candy finishing fourth in the u-13 group.
