Astley & Tyldesley Cycle Speedway Club
were represented at the JJB Stadium, Wigan for the annual Wigan Sports Awards.
Not surprisingly, most of the major awards went to rugby clubs and officials,
but Astley & Tyldesley received Highly Commended Awards in three categories,
from the Mayor of Wigan.
These were in the Sports Club of the Year category (Club), Sports Performer of
the Year (Becky Heslop) and Sports Coach of the Year category (Mike Hack)
