British Cycling Announce Deal With Persil

British Cycling have announced a major sponsorship deal with Persil, which as part of Sportsmatch funding will result in British Cycling receiving £175,000 this year. £100,000 of that is earmarked for Go-Ride and Talent Team development initiatives. Astley & Tyldesley are one of the 35 British Cycling Go-Ride clubs in the country, and are looking to increase their membership numbers as a result of this major grass roots initiative. This will see British Cycling develop formal links with schools, through their network of Development Officers, and direct new recruits to Go-Ride clubs, who meet British Cycling's demanding standards on issues such as coaching, child protection, facilities and equipment.
