The first Go-Ride Conference was held in Manchester last weekend. Over 50 representatives from Go-Ride school and community clubs from as far a-field as Cumbria and the Midlands made the journey to the Manchester Conference Centre to enjoy a day of interesting and informative workshops on a variety of club development issues.

The day started with an opening address from Margaret Nolan (left), Coaching and Club Development Manager, who greeted the delegates and outlined the contribution that Go-Ride clubs will make towards British Cycling’s UK Wide One Stop Plan.

Following the afternoon workshops, delegates attended a closing address from Olympic Silver Medallist Bryan Steel, who also presented Astley and Tyldesley Miners’ Welfare Cycle Speedway Club and Cleveland Wheelers with their Go-Ride Clubmark Accreditation certificates.
