Astley & Tyldesley have been rocked with the news that two riders face several
weeks on the sidelines, following injuries sustained in Sunday's Premier League
match against Wednesfield. Lee Phillips sustained a broken scaphoid after a
first bend clash, and Andy Angell suffered a broken foot after being pitched off
his bike when it shed a chain. Team manager Mike Hack said "The club extends its
best wishes to both riders for a full recovery. This is a real blow as both Lee
and Andy are important members of the Premier League squad. This is bad news as
well for Hull, as Andy will miss their Northern League matches, whilst Lee will
be missing from A & T's Northern League matches."
