U-13 British Cycle Speedway Club Championships



Astley & Tyldesley will be hosting the U-13 British Cycle Speedway Club Championships at Gin Pit this forthcoming Saturday (19th July). Ten teams have entered the competition, which will see two semi-final matches taking place (at 12.30 pm and 2 pm) with the top two teams from each semi-final progressing to the final, at 4.30 pm.

Lining up in the first semi-final will be: Leicester, Ipswich, Bury, Astley & Tyldesley, Stockport.

Lining up in the second semi-final will be: Sandwell, Exeter, Hethersett, Wednesfield, Sheffield.

The A & T club are delighted that the match is being sponsored by the Rotary Club of Astley, and that several official guests, including the Mayor and Mayoress of Wigan, will be in attendance.

Spectators are welcome to attend the event, with admission and car parking free and with refreshments and match programmes on sale. The event will see Britain's best young cycle speedway racers in action, as Midlands club Sandwell defend the title that they won last year. The racing takes place at the Astley & Tyldesley Miners' Welfare Club, Meanley Road, Gin Pit, Tyldesley. M29 7DW.
