Astley & Tyldesley were well represented at the 9th Annual Wigan Sports Awards Evening, held at the JJB Stadium on Friday. A & T had five nominations amongst the eight categories and took 3rd place in the Club of the Year category, behind the winners, Tyldesley Swimming and Water Polo Club, with Leigh Rugby Union Club runners-up. Over 300 people attended an excellent evening, which included a three course meal and guest speakers, including 1996 Olympic Silver medallist, athlete Mark Richardson. |
