Astley & Tyldesley had just three riders who entered the Northern Individual
Championships at Bury, on Sunday. However, all three riders turned in terrific
performances to come away with medals for finishing on the rostrum. Adam
Turnbull won the U-10 Championship, scoring a 16 points maximum, with Max Evans
finishing on 14 to take 3rd place. In the U-13 Championship, Reece Pollitt lost
to Stockport's Matt Turner in the opening race. Both riders won their remaining
four races each after that, for Reece to finish with 19 points and in second
place, one point adrift of Matt Turner on 20. Well done to these three A & T
riders on great performances, which follow hot on the heels of Adam Phillips'
recent win in the British U-13 Individual Final.
