Astley & Tyldesley staged a British Cycling Summer of Cycling event at the Gin Pit cycle speedway track on Tuesday evening. On a bright warm evening, 15 riders took part, including 6 newcomers. The event staged was the 4th and final round of the A&T Go-Ride Grand Prix series. This round's theme featured an "Olympic" three team match, held after a fun coaching session. Team White emerged as the winners, with Danny Pickup winning all his three races. Team Black, led by Jack Littler, just pipped Team Green, led by Jack Murray, for runners-up spot by a point. Gold, silver and bronze medals were awarded to all riders from each team, according to their placing, along with certificates, wrist bands, flags, as well as tee shirts for the first two teams. Jack Murray clinched the overall A&T Go-Ride Grand Prix series, his 15 points tally saw him overhaul both the holidaying Frank White and John White. A total of 41 riders have competed in this year's series.
