Nineteen riders took to the new track for the first time, with the staging of Round 1 of the Astley & Tyldesley Go-Ride Grand Prix series. This was run as a handicap time trial event. 9 years old John White clocked the 2nd fastest actual time, of 35.82 seconds, which converted to an adjusted time of 43.82 seconds. His younger brother, Frank White, took 2nd place, with an adjusted time of 49.20 seconds. Charlie Burgess finished 3rd, with an adjusted time of 49.54 seconds. |
