The European Championships were held on the South Coast this weekend. A&T's Reece Pollitt was a member of the England team which won the European Junior Team Cup at Poole. Reece won two races, on his way to an impressive 13 points score, as England (49 points) finished ahead of Poland (42), Wales (34) and Scotland (30). Reece also raced for Gt. Britain in a junior test match against Poland, scoring 10 points, as Gt. Britain won 114-83. A&T's Przemek Binkowski took the bronze medal in the European Individual Final at Poole, after scoring 15 points. Przemek was a member of the Poland team which won the European Team Cup. Poland scored 64 points, beating England (62), Wales (55), Ireland (36), Scotland (29). Przemek also raced for Poland as they Gt. Britain by 6 points in the senior test match at Southampton. Congratulations to both riders from the Astley & Tyldesley club. |
